A Wednesday filing in DC federal court from US Attorney Jeanine Pirro's office, asking a judge to keep a search warrant for Rep. Ilhan Omar's home sealed, identifies her as "Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, a/k/a Ilhan Abdullahi Omar." Elmi is also the surname of her ex-husband Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, whom she married in 2009 and divorced in 2017.
The claim that Elmi is her brother remains alleged, not proven. Omar has called that suggestion absurd and offensive, and when asked this week whether she was related to her former husband, she answered, "Not to my knowledge." Her office says "Ilhan Omar is her real name" and calls the allegation a smear.
She has not been charged with a crime, and the materials presented by prosecutors are only allegations. On Friday she told Fox News Digital in Minnesota, "Ilhan Abdullahi Omar, you know it."

The ballot says Omar. The filing says Elmi. The paperwork, as always, is the funniest part of the story.
